Payment and security

This page explains how payment works on lorqesia.com and what happens to the information you give us at checkout.

How payment is taken

Checkout runs on Shopify's hosted payment pages. Card details are entered directly into Shopify's payment form over an encrypted connection and are passed to the card networks for authorisation. Lorqesia never sees, handles or stores your full card number, expiry date or security code.

Shopify is certified to PCI DSS Level 1, the highest level of the card industry's security standard. Our own systems only ever receive the outcome of a payment, the last four digits of the card and the card brand.

What we accept

Major credit and debit cards, plus the accelerated wallets offered at checkout. The exact list depends on your country and is shown on the payment step before you confirm.

Currency

Prices on this site are shown and charged in United States dollars. If your card is issued in another currency, your bank converts the amount at its own rate and may add a foreign-transaction fee. That fee is your bank's, not ours.

When you are charged

The full amount is authorised and captured when you place the order. If an item turns out to be unavailable, we cancel that line and refund it to the original payment method, usually within one business day.

Encryption

Every page on this store is served over HTTPS with TLS. That covers the pages you browse as well as the checkout, so the contents of your cart and the details you type are encrypted in transit.

What we keep

We keep your name, email address, shipping address and order history so we can send your parcel and deal with returns. We do not keep payment card numbers. What we hold, how long we hold it, and how to ask for a copy or deletion is set out in our privacy policy.

Fraud and unrecognised charges

If a charge from Lorqesia appears on your statement and you do not recognise it, email info@lorqesia.com with the date and amount. We will identify the order or confirm that no such order exists, and we will tell you either way. Contact your card issuer as well — they can block the card faster than we can.
